Ok I put the fairies on hold for a bit, thought I should make something more practical for an upcoming craft show.... not that fairies aren't practical or anything.

My super amazing friend inspired me to make some of these little beauties.

They turned out better than I expected :)

Here is a little sample of what I have been up to this last week:

Creepy little fairys.... My husband says this one looks like Gollum. Sweet.

What better craft to make on Valentines Day than an Easter craft!?

I saw these on Pinterest, and thought they looked cute :) so here goes!

  

I started with cheap, plastic eggs from Target and 

gave them a few coats of acrylic paint.

                                     

Once the egg was dry, I watered down just a tiny bit of black paint and used a crusty old brush to flick the paint on the egg. An old toothbrush would work too. This is high tech stuff here, let me tell you.

The before and after. Not too shabby  :)

To display them, I made a few apothecary jars from some candle holders

 and a pickle jar. The jar still smells like pickles. Yum. 

The best part is they still open, so you can fill them with all that leftover Halloween candy! Hooray!
